MIR remains committed to providing our employees and their families a comprehensive and affordable benefits package. We work diligently to ensure our benefits package is competitive within the marketplace and industry. Based on a market analysis conducted, we are pleased to share that MIR’s insurance coverage exceeds typical industry. The benefits package consists of both salary and benefits, as well as commissions and bonuses for outstanding performers. The benefits listed below represent significant additional contributions to compensation:


MIR offers comprehensive major medical insurance to all regular full-time employees. MIR pays 90% of the premium for individual coverage (with the 10% employee contribution paid via pre-tax payroll deduction). Covered employees also have the option to purchase insurance for eligible dependents. MIR also pays for 10% of the premium for dependents (with the 90% employee contribution paid via pre-tax payroll deduction).


Dental insurance is offered to all regular full-time employees. Covered employees may also purchase insurance for eligible dependents. MIR pays 50% of the premium for individual and eligible dependents coverage (with the 50% employee contribution paid via pre-tax payroll deduction).


Vision insurance is offered to all regular full-time employees. Covered employees may also purchase insurance for eligible dependents. The premium for individual and eligible dependents coverage is paid 100% by the employee (via pre-tax payroll deduction).


MIR offers a 401(k) plan to all eligible employees. The company contributes 3% of all eligible employees’ salary to their account, with no match required. This is after 3 months of employment and in conjunction with the plan entry dates).

Tuition Reimbursement

MIR offers an undergraduate and graduate tuition reimbursement program to all eligible employees who wish to pursue higher education. Employees must have 12 months of service to be eligible for this benefit.

Company Paid Long Term Disability and Life Insurance

Long term disability and Life insurance is offered at no cost to all regular full-time employees. Spouse and dependents are also covered by the life insurance plan at no cost.

MIR prides itself on continuous improvement for our customers, as well as internally for our employees. We offer hands-on training for all new employees, including ongoing product and application training for sales and all office staff. We will provide you with the tools you need to master the intricacies of the belting industry; fabrication, customer service, or inside and outside sales.


As a fabrication technician, you will shadow an experienced belt fabricator, learning the basics to belting fabrication, product knowledge, and applications used on production lines. As you continue to grow and learn, benchmarks and knowledge-based tests are provided to help you advance your skill set. MIR prides itself on promoting and advancing from within, and will provide you with all of the tools and opportunities to do so.

Sales and Service Support

Along with our sales team, MIR’s customer support and office staff also receive internal training. MIR conducts a 3-day belting seminar at our corporate headquarters in St. Louis. The course provides attendees with a broad understanding of the technical knowledge of belting material, applications, and solutions, including the philosophy and culture of MIR. With more than 35 years in the business and more than 1,500 years of combined belting experience within the organization, we can turn any new employee into a belting expert.


MIR’s sales team is the best trained in the belting industry. All sales trainees receive hands-on fabrication training, working with and alongside experienced fabricators to gain knowledge of how products are made and the applications and solutions necessary to handle complex problems at the customer’s facility. In addition to first-hand product and installation knowledge, we provide internal sales and products training. Through the utilization of our global vendor base, we provide our sales team access to the world market of current and upcoming products that bring optimum solutions for our customers.
